Historic Clara's House to Debut as Decorators' Show House
Clara's House in the Clarence Hollow will be opening its doors to greet guests Friday, October 6th through Sunday, October 22nd. The theme is an "Autumn Ambience" and will be full of decorating details to inspire you to "fall in love" with your own home. General admission tickets are $12.00 each or $10.00 when purchased in quantities of 10 or more. The doors will be opened Fridays through Sundays daily from 12 to 4 PM and Friday evening from 6 to 9 PM. Groups of 10 or more may request private tours Monday through Saturday based upon availability. The historic home, which was slated to be demolished, has been decorated and polished and the public is invited. Come and see what a committed community can do when they come together and care. The home is designed to be informational, educational and inspirational - sharing stories regarding the town and its history. After the showcase is over and the furniture and accessories are removed the home will remain a hub for the community. The upstairs will house the offices of the Hollow Association and the Farmers' Market while the first floor will host community events. The goal is for the home to serve as a welcome center and promote the town as it prepares to celebrate its bicentennial. This will be an important event for all of Buffalo as Clarence was founded in 1808 and is the oldest town in Erie County. We want Clara's House to be a bright and shining symbol of synergy working together with surrounding suburbs and our great city to celebrate the character and charm of all our communities.
